They end up sleeping together and the next day when Mama and Fran are in the kitchen, Naomi attempts to sneak out and is seen by Mama. She goes into an uproar and is raged at Vint. Later, Naomi asks Vint to come with her to Arizona to run a trailer park because the job wants a husband and wife.
Naomi and just previously sold her house, which was right next door to Mama. Vint agrees and lets everyone know that he and Naomi plan on getting married and moving to Arizona. Mama is so shocked that she tells them that they can have the wedding at her house. They get drunk and learn that Ellen's husband, Bruce, is cheating on her with his secretary, Peggy. Everyone acts shocked but thought that all along and try to convince Ellen that she is wrong. She phones his office and is surprised that Bruce answers and says that Peggy is a saint for letting Bruce keep her there that late and that she would wait up for him.
Ellen remarks that the only thing that could ruin this day is if Eunice showed up. The ladies start taking about how Eunice wants to sing at the wedding and all agree it would be a total disaster. Eunice arrives through the back, overhears this and becomes upset.
She tells Ellen about Bruce's cheating and Ellen blames the ladies for lying to her about her husband. Vint arrives home drunk with Buzz just as the whole gang starts fighting. The company that owns the rights to the episodes told the owner to delete the website or get sued. Full House, Two of a Kind and another sitcom they played in. So the owner had to delete the website in order to not get sued. So in order for you not to get sued I would advise you not to post full episodes of Mama's Family.
So who ever owns the rights to Mama's family finds out anyone posts full length episodes of the show may get told to take them down or get sued. I almost forgot to post the link to the Full House message board on sitcomsonline where they explain why the site was taken down. Mama's youngest son Vinton moved in with his two teenage kids, Buzz and Sonja on the first episode, despite Fran's unwillingness.
A few episodes later, Vint married their neighbor, Naomi Oates. Mama had two daughters as well. Ellen, the oldest, tries to be proper and thinks she's rich unlike the family, but tends to rub their cons in their faces. She can be very snobby at times, and has no trouble with being a show off. The other, Eunice, the middle child, a massive drama queen, gets upset about a lot and absolutely hates Ellen, and is very jealous of her. She is married to Ed Higgins, not the most successful guy in the world, and Eunice lets him know every chance she gets.
The show was temporarily canceled in , being kicked off of NBC's line up. In , it was brought back in first-run syndication wherein they dropped Buzz, Sonja, Fran, Eunice, Ed, and eventually, Ellen. Buzz and Sonja presumably graduating from High School, and living their own lives, Fran having choked to death on a toothpick in the bathroom of the Bigger Jigger, Ellen appeared in an early Season 3 episode, and her absence was never explained, to my knowledge, and Eunice and Ed moved to Florida, leaving Mama, Vint and Naomi with their delinquent son, Bubba.
And also introduced, was their other neighbor, Iola Boylen, living practically alone, besides her mother, who has basically shut her self off from the world, leaving Iola to her.
She makes all sorts of unique and strange handicrafts that Mama thinks little of, and she tries to keep her cool as much as possible, but occasionally loses it, proving to be very funny.
The show was in first-run syndication until , when they ended the show with Vint and Naomi having a baby.
