Annoying red dot game

Your task in the game is to guide, control the dot in the maze to move to the red box. In order to complete the game, you have to pass many quite difficult levels, so you need to be careful, skillful, focused and patient.

There is no way you stop being attacked. Once the animal has you in its sights, the game slows your horse to a stop and you can't do anything other than be knocked off.

Not sure why this animation is "fixed", but it's annoying. Yeah it's annoying asf. Usually you'll see a red dot indicating a threat in your area. If my horse is running at a full gallop, why would it just come to a dead stop when it spots a cougar off the side of the path and not in close proximity?
